Don't blink or you will miss the 3 second Flash video that confirms your Flash plugin is working. If Flash plugin is missing, install from the second link below. If Flash is working on the Adobe verify page, but fails on other pages, test at a different network, such as a Starbucks, Safeway, Library, bookshop, etc. I've tried to download the new Adobe on to my mac (os X 10.5.8), safari version 5.0.6, but every time I install it and go onto a website that needs flash it tells me to download the flash player again, especially on youtube. Adobe Flash Player is not working in Internet Explorer 11 with Windows 10 in my Standard Account but does work in the Administrator Account. I have tried troubleshooting: In 'Tools/Manage add-ons' Shockwave Flash Object is enabled and in 'Tools' the ActiveX Filtering item is unticked. Adobe flash was installed, but not enabled. I have tried many different things to enable, but nothing works. My question is, why would Microsoft not enable flash? Posted about 3 years ago by Betty Neubauer.

2. Disable ActiveX Filtering (if you are using Internet Explorer 9)
- In Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Safety. If ActiveX Filtering is selected, deselect it.
3. Enable Flash Player Add-ons (if you are using Internet Explorer)
- On the Manage Add-ons screen, on the left pane, under Show, select All add-ons from the pop-up menu. All add-ons for Internet Explorer are listed on the right panel.
- On the right panel, under Adobe Systems Incorporated, select Shockwave Flash Object, and click Enable. Then, click Close.
4. Ensure that you have the latest version of Flash Player (if you are using Chrome)
You don’t have to install Flash Player if you use Chrome. Flash Player is integrated into Chrome and enabled by default. Chrome automatically updates when new versions of Flash Player are available. To ensure that you have installed the latest version of Chrome and have the latest version of Flash Player, choose Chrome > About Google Chrome.
- If you see the message “Google Chrome is up-to-date,” you have the latest version of Chrome.
- If Chrome is not up-to-date, click Update Now.
- In the Flash Player Settings Manager, click Advanced.
- Under Browsing Data and Settings, click Delete All.
- On your computer, select Start > Run. (On Windows 7, click Start and type in Search Programs and Files.)
- Right-click the Flash Player version box provided above.
- In the Display tab, deselect Enable Hardware Acceleration if it is selected.
8. Increase the storage limit for a specific website
Do this step only if you have issues with a specific website.
- Go to the Flash Player Storage Settings page. This page lets you change the storage settings for websites that you’ve visited.
- From the list of visited websites, select the website with which you have issues.
If you still have issues, report it to the Flash Player forum.
Disable the RealPlayer functionality (Downloading & Recording) if you are using Flash Player 11.3 on Mozilla Firefox. To do this, see Issue #1 in Issues | Flash Player 11.3 | Mozilla Firefox.

Microphone settings
This information applies to Adobe Flash Player on desktop and notebook computers. To change Flash Player settings on mobile devices, visit the Settings Manager for mobile devices.
What are microphone settings?
Adobe Flash For Mac Os X
Microphone settings allow you to select a microphone, adjust its sensitivity, and reduce the echo that may be coming from your speakers.
What happens if I do nothing?
Adobe Flash Player automatically detects any default microphone or other audio recorder on your computer, and sets microphone sensitivity to a medium value.
Note that Flash Player asks your permission before allowing an application to access your camera or microphone. See Privacy pop-up question.
What can I change here?
You can select a different microphone, adjust microphone sensitivity, and reduce echo. The settings you select here apply immediately to the active Flash application. To change the default microphone, select another microphone from the pop-up menu.
To test your microphone, speak in a normal tone of voice and watch the indicator on the left. When the indicator shows yellow, your microphone is sensitive enough for Flash Player to pick up sound. To increase or decrease your microphone's sensitivity, move the slider to the right or the left, respectively.
If you are using speakers instead of headphones, select Reduce Echo. Reducing echo has the effect of reducing the noise coming from your microphone through your speakers.
What if Flash Player doesn't find a microphone?
If Flash Player cannot locate a microphone or other audio device on your computer, the player displays the warning 'No microphone detected.' Read the documentation for your computer and your microphone to make sure your microphone is installed correctly.

How do I test my speakers?
Click Test Speaker in the application shown below to hear a sample sound. Adjust your speakers or headset so the sound is at a comfortable level.
How can I display this panel again?
You may want to display this panel again if, for example, you want Flash Player to use a different microphone. To display the Microphone panel:
Adobe Flash For Mac 10.5.8
- Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Macintosh) the application image while it is playing.
- From the context menu, select Settings, and then click the Microphone tab.

I don't see the Microphone tab, so I can't display this panel.
Adobe Flash For Mac Won't Work
If your computer or device doesn't support audio recording using Flash Player, you cannot select a microphone to use, and this panel doesn't appear.
